DAWN'S PROJECT

AFTER IMAGE (BELOW)

DAWN
DONOHUE of Palm Beach Gardens wanted to give her husband Mark a
Christmas gift. He loves the 18th hole of his community golf
course so Dawn wanted a scene from the fairway looking at the
clubhouse. The problem was the horizontal subject had to fit in the
vertical reality of the wall niche. The solution was a rail and plants
at the bottom and the bougainvillea at the top.

Dawn poses with a club for scale. She's as sweet as she looks.
Another canvas mural which allows me to work at home.
CANVAS MURAL 93" x 45" it took 3 weeks to complete.The
above mural was done for Eneida Cruz in Port St. Lucie. Finished
October 5, 2011 It is painted on a canvas to be mounted on her living
room wall. It is cheaper, easier to work on, offers no home
intrusion for my clients and it also has added detail.

Pam
and Eneida together just after cleanup. I couldn't have done the
hanging without Pam's help. She has helped me paint as well as hang
canvases.
BELOW: CHRIS'S TAVERNA - Lantana, FL
BEFORE VIEW - Chris's Taverna addition was about 90 linear feet of wall.
I decided to surround the diners with the whole Santorini Caldera (below).

CHRIS's TAVERNA now sits on the edge of the Santorini Caldera along
with occasional tourists walking by or peering over the railing. The
column is faux finished and even the painting on the wall was done for
Chris.

ONE OF SIX NEW MURALS AT CHRIS'S TAVERNA

You will notice that I continued the look of the granite shelf (the
plants are sitting on) around the restaurant. Then I added my painting
of Chris' favorite beach and a faux column that was originally white.

DEMER'S RESIDENCE
THE DEMERS' UNDERWATER MURAL PROJECT

The Demers' Underwater
Mural completed December 1st, 2010
The above is what I would consider a children's mural. Christian Demers
contacted me before their child, Soleil, was born. He had seen my work
and wanted an underwater theme throughout the room. It took me much
longer than expected to complete but it was fun and challenging. My
thanks to Christian, Ajie and Soleil for giving me the opportunity to
paint what I feel is appropriate for an infant to grow into. This mural
has full color, real animals and plenty of life for Soleil to focus on.
There is no painting down to the child using cartoons and no need to
replace the mural for years to come.

The Southern Wall shows
a turtle providing a ride to another reality.
,
The
The East wall.
I forced symmetry by using the curtains around the room in each corner
while totally disregarding the offset windows and doors.

The North Wall
This image was cropped due to the bright windows on either side.
The concept was that the creatures are stealing the loot from the shipwreck and the room itself.

The Ceiling Mural

This
is a detail of the Mermaid hovering over the room. The book represents
the schooling that Soleil will experience throughout her life. Great
fun!!
ORLANS PROJECT

Mike
and Carol of Wellington, Florida wanted to add something to the dining
experience besides a blank wall. Below is the best photo I have of the
finished project.

This
is their new dining locale. The wall is very rough texture yet the door
provided a smooth canvas for the Ponte Vecchio derivative landscape.
This mural was completed 11/11/2010
There will be more photos of this one soon.
The above mural is perfect for the end of a long hallway.
This is a remake of my own mural at home. I added texture
to the stones, blue and gold macaw and English ivy.
Still working
on this one.
The
above is a textured mural. By applying a sand texture to the wall I can
overlay successive colors which provide enhanced depth and a rich
tapestry of color at any angle. This is what I would consider a typical
child's mural that doesn't "paint down" intellectually and doesn't
limit the colors to pastels or color schemes.

BEFORE
My
thanks to Ronnie and Marilyn Kaler of Stuart FL. who wanted a mural for
their East patio wall. I would like to thank them for being so patient
with this mural. It was difficult from the start, due to light and
weather issues.

AFTER
Finished Dec 15th, 2009 a damp winter for Florida.
I had a 5 hour window before the sun hit the texture. Once that
happens, depth and subtle gradations are impossible to see. It also
rained off an on throughout the 2 1/2 week period, making two steps
forward and one step back continual.
Since the wall is low, I chose a low horizon line which matches the
horizon of the real world (once seated that is).
I would have extended to the adjoining wall on the left but the association would frown on that. I love doing this stuff.
Ronnie told me his beach is very relaxing. I love doing this stuff.
The above mural was completed November 5, 2009
It is used as a demo mural in my house. The seal pup is distorted when
viewed from the front but it's designed to look normal when entering
the room.
BEFORE view of rough stucco wall and a 1 color cement fountain.
A word about this job.
Martha Bilodeau trusted me enough to give me the key to her house while
they were on vacation. This is ideal for me because I can spend upwards
of 16 hours of continuous work without bothering the clients. This is
the best of conditions to create and offers the best quality for me and
my client. Many thanks Martha.
